About DME

Fuel Properties

Di methylether (DME ) is a non toxic gas a normal conditions but liquefy at about 6 bars and has similar properties as LPG. It has many applications such as propellant, power generation, fuel for heating and cooking or as transportation fuel. DME can be produced from natural gas, coal or biomass.DME has potential as and ideal fuel for the highly efficient diesel process and for ultra low exhaust emission and reduced noise levels. Investigations have shown that DME produced via biomass gasification and catalytic synthesis has very high well to wheel energy efficiency and thus result in very high yields of transport work per hectare and year.
